In February 2020 I presented a collection in two parts: Drag and Ready to Wear. I selected six incredible performers from my drag family and Brooklyn nightlife royalty, made each a custom look and let them style themselves to perform whatever they wanted, as well as a ten look Ready to Wear collection encompassing some of what I enjoy making the most. I teamed up with BoiPKG to book Venus In Furs (now known as the club Paragon) and we put on a show, each showing our own work. This collection was designed and sewn in just a few weeks, I had the promo material made and posted before I had anything actually built. My mother helped sewing buttons (knockoff Moschino I found in a store in Chinatown years before) onto coats and dresses in the basement/dressing room, and it all went off perfectly soundtracked to Friendly Fires’ Paris (Aeroplane Remix Feat. Au Revoir Simone) and Betty Boo’s Thing Goin' On (MK Radio Remix).
